These terms govern individual and family session bookings made through volkanphotography.com, and use of the site's enquiry, chat and messaging services. Volkan Photography Inc. ("we", "us") is a photography studio at 8050 204 St #27, Langley, BC V2Y 0X1, established in 2016. Corporate, event and wedding bookings are governed by a separate written agreement, not by this page. By using this website or booking a session you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Sessions booked online are confirmed only when payment is received in full. Prices are in Canadian dollars and GST is added at checkout.
One reschedule is permitted at no charge with at least 48 hours notice. Inside 48 hours, the session fee is non-refundable and a new session must be booked and paid for. Sessions are non-refundable for no-shows.
Sessions end at their scheduled end time regardless of arrival time. This applies on mini session days too, where a late arrival costs the next client their slot. We ask everyone to plan to arrive a few minutes early.
Images are delivered within two weeks of the session. Most sessions are delivered considerably sooner.
Retouching is included on the images in your package. Additional retouched images are $25 each. Retouching covers standard finishing. Substantial alterations to appearance or composition are quoted separately.
Galleries remain available for a minimum of 12 months. Original files are retained separately, so images can be re-supplied on request if a gallery is ever unavailable. We encourage clients to download their images. Deletion on request at any time.
Volkan Photography Inc. retains copyright in all images. Clients receive a personal use licence covering printing, sharing and social media. Commercial use, including use by a business in advertising, requires a commercial licence. How we handle personal information and images is described in our Privacy Policy.
Portfolio use is optional and separate from these terms. It is given at booking by checkbox, and can be withdrawn at any time by email. Images are never used for portfolio or marketing without it.
The adult booking a family session confirms they are the parent or legal guardian of any children attending, and has authority to consent on the child's behalf.
The studio is located at 8050 204 St #27, Langley, BC V2Y 0X1. Parking and building access instructions are included in your booking confirmation email; please review them before your appointment, since parking is the most common cause of a late arrival at this studio.
In the event of illness, equipment failure or emergency, your session is rescheduled at the earliest mutual availability, or refunded in full at your option.
For outdoor sessions, if conditions make the session unworkable we will reschedule at no charge, at the photographer's discretion.
Our liability in connection with a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law in British Columbia.
You may browse the site and submit an enquiry for your own personal or business purposes. Photographs, text, page layouts and other material on this site belong to Volkan Photography Inc. and may not be copied, republished or used for commercial purposes without our written permission. Please do not submit false information, other people’s contact details without their permission, or use the enquiry forms and chat window to send unsolicited advertising.
The chat window on this site is operated for us by our customer relationship platform. Anything you type into it, including a phone number you choose to provide, reaches us as a message and is handled under our Privacy Policy. Please do not use the chat window for urgent or emergency matters; call the studio instead.
This site links to our booking and gallery provider, our social media profiles and other outside sites. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information. Their own terms apply when you use them.
We work to keep this website accurate and available, but we provide it as is, without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law in British Columbia.
We may update these terms as the business or our services change. The revised version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. Material changes to the text messaging program will be described here before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of British Columbia.
